Connecting Across Differences: Leonardo Raphael Tayco, Jr.

Rotary takes pride in its diversity that cuts across continents, gender, political affiliations, culture, age, and ethnicity.

The incoming batch of governors in the Philippine districts are an interesting microcosm capturing the diversity of Rotary, and yet there are discernible attributes common among them—the strongest of which are a desire to bring unity and peace in their districts, and the firmness with which they assert their decisiveness.

Introducing the governors for Rotary Year 2019 to 2020.

“Rotary being a volunteer organization, I would like to get the inputs and recommendations of my fellow Rotarians to help me formulate the final decision. As a medical doctor, I am trained to look at both the subjective and objective findings before making my final assessment and planning the management of my patient.”

“For the coming Rotary year, taking cognizance of my profession as a physician, I have a legacy project in my district which focuses on mobile blood donation in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross. In this regard, I would like my term to be remembered as having helped alleviate the acute shortage of blood in most areas not only in our district but in the whole country.”
