RC Metro Kalibo distributes COVID-19 Response Kits to tricycle drivers, healthcare workers

In the spirit of giving, Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) reached out and helped a community of tricycle drivers and healthcare workers cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

RC Metro Kalibo distributed Rotary COVID-19 response kits and rice packs (three kilos each) to 50 members of the Numancia Tricycle Drivers Association, right after the 19th Handover and Induction Ceremonies.

President Rosie Reyes sponsored the kit that consists of alcohol and rotary masks with Vitamins C from D3850 Disaster Global Grant of $25,000 that was coursed through IPDG Raphy Tayco. It served as an induction token while the PPEs were donated before the induction to a COVID-19 recognized hospital, Dr. Rafael S. Tumbokon Memorial Hospital (DRSTMH). Meanwhile, Hakid ni San Jose sa Parokya it Numacia donated 50 rice packs.

Additional 40 complete PPEs were donated to DRSTM Hospital with mother club RC Kalibo led by President Leo Martinez. Receiving the said donation is Chief of Hospitals Dr. Paul Macahilas and COVID Ward Supply Officer Dr. Mitch San Jose.
