The new normal is even more difficult for special students—this the Rotary Club of Guiguinto Bloomingdales understood as they stepped in to help
As early as 8 in the morning of September 29, Rotarians from RC Guiguinto Bloomingdales visited Guiguinto Central School. They headed right away to the Special Education (SPED) Department of the school which has two classrooms occupied by 136 special students and five SPED teachers.
The project was called “Bayanihan sa Paaralan sa Panahon ng New Normal,” which is RC Guiguinto Bloomingdales’ Balik Eskwela project activity for this year. What they brought along with them were two sets of sanitizing mats, 40 face shields, five boxes of surgical masks, three boxes and a ream of long bond paper.
It aims to meet the module requirements of the special students as well as to keep teachers safe while at work, including going out to attend school activities for the students.
