Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo WALKs the Talk

Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo partnered with various organizations to give a kid and his family an early Christmas present: a prosthetic leg

Executive Director PP Megs Lunn personally brought their latest recipient six-year-old Cyle Recabe of Kalibo, Aklan Iloilo City. He is back for a new measurement of his long-awaited leg with the club’s partners in service, Walk and Work Foundation (Iloilo City Prostheses Center), WALK, Inc, sister club Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830) and Physicians For Peace (Phils).

When he was four years old, Cyle met an accident when the van they are in was hit by a Ceres Liner along the highway. He had the most damage that the doctors have to amputate his right limb to save him. He is now in Grade 1 and wants to be a policeman when he grows up.

His 29-year-old mother Rosslyn wishes for him to have a prostheses leg that will boost his confidence and uplift his spirit to be cheerful again like he used to be before the accident.

Cyle will be back on the first week of November to finally get his leg, an early Christmas gift from the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo and partners.
