In this October issue, the whole Rotary world commemorates World Polio Day on October 24. Our cover shows RI President James Bomar administers the oral polio vaccine to a child during the signing of an agreement between Rotary International and the Philippine government on a nationwide polio immunization campaign funded by the first-ever Health, Hunger and Humanity (3H) grant of The Rotary Foundation. This took place at the Makati Rotary Foundation grounds on 29 September 1979.
