Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo turns over Project WASH to an elementary school

Last March 26, Rotary was finally able to turn over the finished Rotary Project WASH to Dapdap Elementary School

Funded by the international partner Rotary Club of Southwest Platteville (D3850) Wisconsin, USA and Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850), the project is a gift to Dapdap Elementary School. The detached male and female comfort room with a hand washing facility was made possible through the cooperation of the Parents Teachers Association and Barangay Dapdap Council in Tangalan, Aklan.

Present during the simple ribbon cutting ceremony was Rotary Club Metro Kalibo President Rosie Reyes, Club Secretary Ricky Molo, Public Image Director Megs Lunn, Rotarians Jess Fernandez and Romeo Reyes, Jr, Mr. Radni Ray Estanislao of Trikee and Cafe de Calivo, Dapdap Elementary School Teacher-in-Charge Graciela Makiling, Barangay Dapdap Chairman Joserey Tana, and Parents Teacher Association President Niel Valencia. 

WASH is one of the seven Areas of Focus of Rotary International.
