Rotaract Club of Iloilo City helps Guimaras families through Project Abot Kamay

In partnership with other organizations, the Rotaract Club of Iloilo Cityย mounted another ๐˜€๐˜‚๐—ฐ๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—น ๐—ฝ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ท๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐˜๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฑ, โ€œ๐—ฃ๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ท๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐˜ ๐—”๐—ฏ๐—ผ๐˜ ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜†โ€ last F๐—ฒ๐—ฏ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐˜† ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿด

Led by President Eric Joseph Flores, the said project aimed to support mothers and children of the selected barangay in East Valencia, Buenavista, Guimaras.ย 

A series of activities was done by the club including planting of 40-50 mangrove seedlings at Pagatpat, distribution of school supplies to 20 selected scholars, distribution of 50 hygiene kits to mothers, mini games with prizes, distribution of 100 bottles of disinfectants to families and the barangayโ€™s tricycle association, and feeding of families in the area.  

One of the main highlights of the program was a Free Maternal Health and Proper Sanitation Forum conducted by experienced nurse and mother, Honey Jean Ontanillas. 20 selected elementary students were also recognized and awarded with new Jansport school bags.ย 

More than 100 participants benefited from the said activity held at the East Valencia Gym.

According to Club Adviser Rtn Dennis Pedrosa, they were happy with the turnout of the said project.
