Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo goes on a mission trip for Project WALK

Last April 6, about eight patients from LGUs Numancia, Tangalan, Balete and New Washington and one from Roxas City (care of Rotary Club of Roxas) were catered for casting of prosthetic legs.

Walk and Work Foundation Iloilo Prosthetic and Orthotic Center Program Director and Mediator Dr. Jessie B. Villaruel happily reported that the team arrived safely to the location.

WALK, Inc.—through Executive Director Megs Lunn, founding president Atty. Ed Escano, and sister club Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830)—generously facilitated the approval of the recipients.

The club was also extremely grateful to the newest inclusion of partners for Rotary Project WALK: Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan through Vice Governor Atty. Reynaldo “Boy” Quimpo, Southwest Travel and Tours, Kalibo Cable TV Network Inc and Love Radio through Mr. Cedric & Dr. Pauleen Sazon.

After the casting, KCTV & Love Radio distributed face masks. Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo President Rosie Reyes and other members sponsored food while PWD Committee Chair Past President Ricky Molo joined the mission trip. LGU Numancia MDRRMO also had a special participation.
