To commemorate the birthday of Rotary International Founder Paul Harris last April 19, WALK INC. Executive Director and Club Public Image Director Megs Lunn and Rotary Project WALK rallyist Rotarian Addryan Martires visited Lovely Francisco of Badio, Numancia in Aklan.
Lovely met an accident last year and broke her upper limb. After a month in the provincial hospital, she then received a stainless steel implant through Rotary Project WALK and sister club Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830).
In addition, Lovely needed a walker to assist her to walk, part of the requirements of her rehabilitation. She needed it to get better and hopefully return to her work as a laundress. Her husband, who is also a PWD, has no work so the breadwinner of the family is the couple’s 15-year-old son who is a construction worker.
