Rotary Club of Solana Moonlight’s Clean World Change Project

Waste is growing, but there is global momentum to find solutions to stem the tide and make waste management more sustainable.

Trash to Cash is a waste management community based program which focuses on sorting and saving recyclable and non-biodegradable
products which will not only help fund and support upcoming projects but will also raise environmental awareness in doing so. All of the members of RC Solana Moonlight worked together to dispose their trash at their own homes. This is one year of collecting garbage to manage waste properly to protect harm our health, our environment and our prosperity. The club will generate funds with this garbage for its next project, NO TO PLASTIC BAGS.

The members concluded the sale of their garbage collection in order to fund their jute bag. The Rotary Club of Solana Moonlight will run a campaign to encourage people not to use plastic bags and will display signs in public places and on roadways where they have an impact. On one Sunday, they promote and distribute jute bags in front of Solana Market. This will result in the most favorable public perception. Members are encouraged to submit all of their trash for collection.

To reverse this gloomy projection, the first and most important step is to segregate garbage so that it can be treated properly at the source. The club started this project last year with the support of their present Governor District 3770 Arturo “ART” Que.
