RCMK continues to support Aklan Bakuna Bus this month

Rotary supports the government’s vaccination rollout

Through its humanitarian partner Philippine Red Cross Aklan, RC Metro Kalibo has consistently supported the Bakuna Bus outreach since September in the towns of Madalag and Libacao, Aklan, respectively.

From October 1 and 7, the team vaccinated 250 individuals in the uphill barangays of Libacao, Aklan like Manika, Pampango, Alfonso XII and Oyang. Then last Oct 13, about 108 individuals got there 1st dose (Barangays Rosal, Rivera and Loctuga in Libacao) and last October 14 about 191 individuals from Barangays Mamba, Dit-Ana, Medina and Panipiason in Madalag got their 2nd dose. Succeeding schedules this October are for 2nd doses of the same towns.

Life Changing president Loida M. Enero was ably represented by Public Image Director Megs Lunn.

The club appreciates the assistance of LGU Libacao and Madalag Mayors and its Municipal Health Office for the support; likewise to Barangay Council Members, Barangay Health Workers/Nutritionist Scholars, Tanod, Philippine National Police, Municipal Police Auxiliary, PRC Aklan staff and RCAT 143 volunteers.

Bakuna Bus team consists of volunteers who are risking their lives both to the virus and the long and winding road through hills and slippery roads, just to reach out to remote communities of the province. The people are so grateful for the services.

Special thanks to BB Cares and media partners Kalibo Cable TV and Love Radio for collaborating with the club.

GET VACCINATED! Protect yourself by protecting others. Together, we will achieve a Covid-Free community and change lives.
