Rotary Club of Bacolod North donates first Autoclave Machine

The first among the three planned Autoclaves Donation Project, the Rotary Club of Bacolod North led by President Kendall Ang, travelled last September 13 to the town of EB Magalona, Negros Occidental. Their mission was to donate one Autoclave Machine to the community, personally received by Mayor Marvin Malacon and various health officers.

The Autoclave Machines were donated by Past President Lito Sion as part of his advocacy to combat the harmful effects of pandemic.

“Autoclaving, sometimes called steam sterilization, is the use of pressurized steam to kill infectious agents and denature proteins. This kind of “wet heat” is considered the most dependable method of sterilizing laboratory equipment and decontaminating biohazardous waste.” – https://blink.ucsd.edu/safety/research-lab/biosafety/autoclave

Also present during the turnover were Past District Governor Louis Gonzaga, Past President Lito Sion, Past President Bobby Tinsay, Past President Jun-Jun Jalandoni, Vice-President Jude Quingco, Director Concon Parreño, and Rtn. Marlon Parreño.
