Rotary Club of Iloilo City donates essentials to more than 200 beneficiaries

The Rotary Club of Iloilo City, together with the Iloilo Small Town Lottery and Gaming Corporation and Rotaract Club of Iloilo City, distributed substantial number of sacks of rice and hundreds of medical supplies (face masks) to more than 200 beneficiaries.

The project was headed by RCIC Life Changing Pres Jun Melliza, with AG Jess Arlique, PP Bob Lopera, PP Francis Grino, PP Ray Gomez, Sec. Dennis Pedrosa, Pres. Joan Jaranilla, and Staff Katii Barbasa, last September 18 and 22, 2021 at the ISTLGC office, Yulo St., Iloilo City.

It benefited all “panugpataya” collecting agents and their families who belong to the marginalized sector across the entire City of Iloilo.

To observe proper COVID-19 protocols, social distancing, use of face shield/face masks, and disinfectants were mandated during the occasions.

Team leaders were selected by areas to pick up the donations and to redistribute them to all team members throughout the city.

This endeavor would never be successful if not for the invaluable support, generosity and services of the ISTLGC family headed by Roberto Onglatco, Grace Melliza, Vilma Daquiado, and all STL Iloilo City Staffs, who made it all possible.

RCIC hopes to have this economic and disease prevention project regularized with the help of its generous members and benefactors.
