November 2021 Issue is now online and available on the PRM Mobile App

8 years ago, the Philippines suffered one of the most devastating natural calamity to ever visit our country.  Super Typhoon Haiyan, or locally known as Yolanda, swept through the Visayas and unleashed its destructive power across Leyte, Samar, Cebu and Iloilo.  It was a time when we suddenly understood the meaning of storm surges!  So many people were affected and whole infrastructures were uprooted.

While the whole world united to help the country respond to this calamity, Rotary also showed its humanitarian response capabilities and the power of international support behind so many relief and rehabilitation efforts.  This is now the focus of the upcoming coffee table book, Hope through HARPDI, published by Help and Assistance For Rotary Philippine Districts led by its Chairman, PRID Guiller Tumangan and its editor, PDG Sue Sta. Maria.  This PRM issue features some curated sections of this coffee table book.

We also pay tribute to another PDG who recently passed on.  PDG Oscar “Oskie” C. De Venecia was a PolioPlus Pioneer awardee and a giant in both R.I. District 3810 and 3830.  Another one of icons in Rotary has left us but their contributions and achievements are forever etched in the annals of Philippine Rotary.
