RC Metro Kalibo and RAC Metro Kalibo plant trees to help protect the environment

Rotary is taking steps to care for the environment. Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo aims to help empower young people to spur innovation in Protecting the Environment, now one of the Seven Areas of Focus of Rotary International.

Last October 30, 2021, the club joined the Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo to “Help Protect our Environment” tree planting activity in the identified historical century old clustered Acacia Tree place in Albasan Elementary School (Numancia). RAC Adviser/PN Edwin Autencio and life-changing President Loida M. Enero led the event. PE Romeo Reyes, Jr., IPP Rosie Reyes and RAC Marnette Autencio, Brgy. Chairman Rodel Maravilla and Albasan Elementary School OIC Ms. Gie Magdaluyo were also present, together with the 10 successful participants of the Dressmaking Livelihood Skills Training.

Maybe we also have to see the need in our own community like illegal dumping of garbage or no collection of garbage, worst no dumping site in the first place; or teach the children during online classes more initiative how to do recycling, proper waste disposal, etc.
More than planting a tree out of compliance, make sure they truly grow by visiting the area again and monitor its progress. Would it be nice to see that your tree is growing and has life on it?
