Rotary Club of Zamboanga City holds feeding program

Rotary Club of Zamboanga City (RCZC) with life-changing president Vince Carbon III, leads the Mega Bigay Sustansya (MBS) Nutrition Program. The said nutrition program is in partnership with Reach Out and Feed Philippines (ROFP), headed by Dawn Marie Cabigon, Global Mega Corporation, the Tiu Lim Foundation, the MBS Nutrition Team in barangays Ayala, Cawit, and Talisayan.

ROFP aims to provide meals to kids who have very little or no access to nutritious food due to their condition. Its work focuses on organizing, feeding, and nourishment programs in public schools and the poorest of poor communities in the country.

The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City supervises and assists the MBS Nutrition Team consisting of coordinators, cooks, kitchen assistants and delivery riders. Since its launching last September 20, from Monday to Saturday, a total of 9,000 nutritious meals — breakfast and lunch, had been served to 250 children ages 4 to 12 years old.

The Mega Bigay Sustansya nutrition program will continue until November 20.

They also donated 50 packs of bottled mineral water to the Fort Pilar Shrine for the priests, lay ministers, and volunteers for the upcoming religious activities of

Fort Pilar Shrine under the Archdiocese of Zamboanga in the celebration of the feast of Nuestra Señora La Virgen del Pilar.

The donation was personally received by Rev. Fr. Armand Aquino, administrator of the Fort Pilar Shrine.  Pres. Vince Carbon and Rtn. Melvin Mari personally turned over the donation held at Fort Pilar Shrine ground.  District Governor Edwin To, Rtn. Sarah Dimaano, Rtn. Melvin Mari, and new club member Kyle Medalle also shared in the donation.
