RC Kalibo conducts Community Needs Assessment

In Rotary before any project can be granted or approved, we conduct the Community Needs Assessment. The most essential of its part is if the project will have sustainability and a committed monitoring team. For a successful Global Grant, monitoring the project for at least five (5) years is required.

Last July 2 and 4, 2022, the Rotary Club of Kalibo led by Pres. Nikki Tayco, performed a community needs assessment at 2 barangays namely Brgy. Nagustan, Nabas, Aklan and Liloan National High School, Liloan, Malinao, Aklan.

The club initiated talks with these barangays in preparation for the Global Grant application for this year, and to assess the needs of the community for future projects that the club plans to put up in the area. We look forward to adopting a barangay this Rotary year, as one of the thrust programs of our district under the leadership of Gov. John Michael “Kano” Ng.

Present during the assessment were Service Project Chair PP Alexys Apolonio, Club Adviser PP Vady Marin, Vice President/PE Jayr Villaruel, Water & Sanitation Chair PP Jong Ureta and The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Chair PDG Raphy Tayco.

We look forward to an exciting Dream Team in action.
