Retired Priest Gets Wheelchair from RC Bacolod North

Father Ernesto Majillano, or lovingly called Father Erneng by his parish, is a retired priest currently residing at the St. John Nepomucene Convent. After serving the church for many years, he found that he could still serve his community. However, about a year ago, he was diagnosed with kidney disease and would need to be under constant dialysis. His good friend and Past Rotary Club of Bacolod North President, Fitz Lauron, learned of his situation and recommended him to be a beneficiary of the Rotary Foundation wheelchair.

Last July 15, 2022, Father Erneng was all smiles as he tested his wheelchair which he said could not only benefit him but others in the parish as well. With him were his former classmate, Past President Fitz Lauron, Immediate Past President Kendall Ang, President Shirley Mendoza-Maghari, and Secretary Jude Quingco. The wheelchair is part of the efforts of D3850 Immediate Past District Life-changing Governor Edwin G. To, through the Rotary Foundation Program.
