On October 29, Director for Public Image PP Megs Lunn together with Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo president Aiah Mindanao, collaborated with the Aklan Provincial Police Office (APPO) through Deputy Director for Administration PLCOL ALVIN BALIO, Aklan Baghay, Inc., Provincial Social Welfare Development (PSWD), Aklan PPO Women and Children Desk Protection (WCPD), Police Community Relations unit, and Royal Group of Companies, in the conduct of psychosocial support to more or less 220 children evacuees at the ABL Sports complex, Capitol Site, Kalibo, Aklan.
The activities were the demonstration of proper handwashing as part of hygiene, proper disposal/segregation of garbage while in the evacuation center, games, film showing, distribution of candies, biscuits and Alaska yogurt, etc. We donated some toys for the game prizes, too.
Aklan Vice-Governor Reynaldo “Boy” Quimpo who was visiting the area gave a message to the children. He also accommodated our impromptu request for equipment for the film showing.
Imagine a safer place for children. Imagine together we can make a difference.
