On Feb. 14, on the occasion of the celebration of National Dental Health Month, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) and Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Aklan chapter signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), held at Cafe Cecilia, Kalibo, Aklan.
Both parties agreed to jointly carry a community project about the importance of oral health and dental care. This is in response to two of the areas of focus of Rotary – Mother and Child Health and Disease Prevention and Treatment.
Signing the said MOU were RC Metro Kalibo president Romeo T. Reyes, Jr. and PDA Aklan preident Dr. Dex Matira. It was witnessed by RCMK’s club secretary PP Rosie Reyes and Dr. Luz Reloj-Isagan, past president of PDA Aklan.
Also present were Director Public Image PP Megs Lunn, and PDA Aklan officers Dr. Manrick Isagan and Dr. Liana Refindor.
This year’s theme is, “Ngiting Protektado, Ngiting Panalo”. The celebration is pursuant to Presidential No. 559 declaring the whole month of February of every year as National Dental Health Month.
