PRM May 2023 Issue now online on Web and Mobile

We are on our last couple of months of the Rotary Year.  And during this period, we see the culmination of Rotary activities across all the Districts and around the world.  There is a flurry of District Convention activities around the country and in this issue we highlight the events from D3770, D3790, D3810, D3820, and D3830.  Coverage starts on page 42.

Our cover is painting done by PP Lita Wells of the Rotary Club of Jose P. Rizal, D3830.  This is a plein air painting of a scene at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City.  Aptly titled Serene Waters, it invites to spend a bit of quiet and quality time to enjoy the stillness and calmness of the environment.  Given what we have experienced over the last 3 years and the race towards normalcy, a bit of serenity helps us maintain our inner equilibrium.

The District focus for this issue is District 3870.  DG Biong Laduo shows that being the smallest district in the country, with 48 clubs, doesn’t mean they project the smallest in accomplishments and feats.  Their District Conference last April 28-30 showcased the theme, “Imagine Peace, Salam Festival”, exhibiting the culture, food and its diversity as well emphasizing the progress of peace within the region in Mindanao.  We proudly present the activities and achievements of the clubs in D3870.  Feature starts on page 12.

By this time many of our Rotarians have converged in Melbourne, Australia for this year’s Rotary International Convention.  We look forward to the reports and the event’s coverage in next month’s issue.
