RBTT Ep 02 – Ang Pao, The D3810 Chinese New Year Special

As the Chinese say “Gong Hei Fat Choi” — which means Good Luck and Good Fortune!  This is the Chinese New Year episode of the Rotary Bale Talk Talk-An online Talk Show, broadcast on Zoom and simulcast on Facebook Like.

The Chinese has a rich history in the Philippines and one of the premiere Rotary District, District 3810, is home to many Filipino-Chinese.  The show delved in the customs and traditions of the local Chinoy communities and also featured the various civic projects that the clubs in D3810 are undertaking and are making an impact on the various communities they serve.  Co-host for this show is D3810’s PDG Rosie Go and its current Life Changing Governor, Robert Koa.

We also featured the Chinese practice of maneuvering through life’s challenges and fortunes by balancing the various elements called Feng Shui or Geomancy.  Feng is the Chinese word for Wind while Shui is the Chinese word for Water, two of the life forces in the world.  Through years of practice, research and usage, the Chinese believe the proper balancing of the various life forces will aid in having a peaceful and prosperous life.  Helping in the discussions are two geomancy experts – Gi and Marge Santos.
