The Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) and LGU Kalibo through PDAO or Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office and Municipal Social Welfare Department (MSWD), commemorated Women’s Day/Month on March 8th by providing Entrepreneur Starter Kits (for Bangus Deboning) to 32 recipients across the 17 barangays of Kalibo. The kits consist of essential items such as aprons, knives, basins, hairnets, gloves, chopping boards, scissors, and strainers.
President Ricky Molo presented the kits to PDAO officials, while Rotarians Lester and Lorraine participated in the on-site program and training session. This initiative aims to establish sustainable livelihoods for women with disabilities, fostering economic development and social empowerment.
FUN FACTS. Women in Rotary contribute to communities and hold leadership roles since the decision in 1989 allowing global membership, marking a significant moment in Rotary’s history.
