Rotarians Promoting Environmentalism for Good: Success Stories from Zone 10
Project management and resource mobilization | Social Leadership | Community partnership and empowerment

This Town Hall highlights success stories from Rotary Clubs and their subsidiaries living out the principles of ‘Environmentalism for Good’ by protecting the environment and indigenous species. In Thailand, Rotarians worked with coastal communities and the academe in marine conservation and sustainable aquaculture projects, while others restored mangroves, a crucial ecosystem adversely impacted by different manmade and natural causes. Not too far away in Malaysia, the District Action Group for Environmental Sustainability shares its portfolio of efforts: from tree-planting and river care, to conservation and sustainable food production. Through their stories, we’ll learn how Rotarians mobilized their clubs and communities to maximize their ‘green’ impact’ and increase awareness of the climate issues we face today.
