Tech in Taiwan: Powering Renewables

This Field Trip takes participants on a trans-national visit to see how Rotarians are using technology to bring light to the world. In Taiwan, we’ll get an inspiring look at a Rotarian-owned corporation, one that has contributed to national development by bringing in new technologies – including a more recent venture to promote renewable energy through solar photovoltaic technology. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, Rotarians and other stakeholders are leveraging the power of cost-effective, innovative solar lamps to honor the work of Filipino frontliners and to provide power to an indigenous Aeta community.
Through their stories, we’ll see how innovation and purpose came together to create new possibilities for communities and countries.
