Every year, Rotary clubs of Rotary International District 3830 join to celebrate National Children’s Day. This year’s celebration was more special, coinciding as it is with the opening of the new Rotary year.  Spearheaded by District Governor Amador Tolentino, Rotary clubs from Makati, Taguig, and Pateros spent time with 300 pupils from Nemesio I. Yabut Elementary School.

Rotary’s Six Areas of Focus were promoted in various activities such as art workshop, medical mission, fluoride applications, interactive story-telling session, Gulayan at Botika sa Bakuran program, books donation, lecture on proper nutrition, anti-bullying seminar, lecture on proper hygiene and oral care, and distribution of vitamin supplements.

Following the sessions was a fun party that started with amusement show of jugglers, puppeteers, and magician. Jollibee mascot also performed and danced for the kids. There were fun games. There was also a moral values development game Olly and Pia facilitated by RCM Olympia.

The party ended with kids getting full Jollibee meals, take-home snacks, loot bags, lots of mixed sweet treats, school supplies, and Japanese toys.
