RC Metro Iloilo gives a boy and many other kids a glimmer of hope through a pair of slippers and other gifts
Even in this day and age, there are still families whose income is not enough to even provide a pair of slippers for all of their children.
On his way to Ito Grace Baptist Church with RC Metro Iloilo, Treasurer Ray Laurente saw a 5-year-old barefoot boy as he was playing with his friends. He and the other Rotarians immediately called the child and handed him a gift pack which includes a pair of slippers.
On the same day, 107 gift packs were turned over by the club to the 107 children of the Ito Grace Baptist Church community. Present were Gloria Belarga, Treasurer Ray Laurente, Rtn Paul Francia, President Adrian Funtelar, Pastor Nory Pareno, VP Paul Chatman and Sec Rolixto Jodieres.
