Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central stepped in to show support for Dulian Elementary School by providing internet-capable equipment for its teachers
September is Rotary’s Basic Education and Literacy month.
Because of COVID-19, schools are slowly shifting into a blended education system that marked the birth of DepEd Commons. It’s an online platform that can be used for virtual classes while also serving as a repository of learning modules where teachers would need gadgets and internet connection. Hence, all school teachers and principal were given eight pocket wifi devices by RC Zamboanga City Central.
In partnership with Rotary Club of Ipil Sibugay, the staff also received face shields and hygiene kits. The activity focused on Basic Education and Disease Prevention and Treatment —-two of Rotary’s Areas of Focus and in support of Iwas Covid Campaign.
