Last November 28, the Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City North, in cooperation with its sponsoring club Rotary Club of Zamboanga City North, launched its Community and Economic Development project dubbed as B.A.K.O.D Project 2020.
The objective of the project is to promote backyard farming to the community of Sitio Sta. Rita, Barangay La Paz. The Rotary sees this as one way to augment the residents’ current financial concerns especially in this time of a pandemic.
The Rotaractors were able coordinate with the Department of Agriculture for the vegetable seeds such as ampalaya, squash, eggplant, sweet pepper, tomato, and okra.
In order to ensure sustainability of the said project, the Solid North commits to do a monthly monitoring activity.
