The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central, in partnership with Kids Who Farm and Rotary Community Corps of Shanty Town, conducted a project that promotes urban gardening for a sustainable future.
Growing nutritious vegetables using organic cultivation methods, the activity enhances food security, nutrition, health, and well-being of the community members and as well as providing them with another means of sustainable livelihood.
The community received training on various cultivation techniques like efficient watering, cover cropping, creating organic fertilizer and compost, and many other sustainable agriculture methods. They received seedlings and seedlings tray from Kids Who Farm and garden Mulch from the club.
