Tulay Para sa Hanapbuhay Project for Select PWD students

The Zone 2 Life Changing Presidents of Caloocan together with Peson with Disability Chair (PWD) Noel Cuico and his coordinator PP/AG Gladys Collado of RC Metro Novaliches Caloocan launched a project last October 18, 2021 in two schools namely Cecilio Apostol Elementary School (CAES) and Kalayaan National High School (KNHS) Students for the thirty-one SPED students entitled Tulay para sa
Hanapbuhay. The aforesaid schools are known in the National Department of Education for their excellence for running Special Education both in elementary and secondary schools.

The aforementioned project was graced by the hardworking and passionate Life Changing Governor of RI District 3800 Augusto Soliman. They conducted Dishwashing Soap Making and planting of mushroom. The chosen participants were the SPED students with their parents and Life Changing Presidents and officers. It was very timely amidst of pandemic to provide their physiological needs.
Indeed, the SPED students were interested doing the dishwashing soap making by religiously following the instructions made by PP Cuico and PP Rollz Maningas from CAES and KNHS respectively. As we observed, they were competitive to finish it and the outcome was good. They finished it on time. In one pail per participant made 14 bottles of 1Liter container. Initial earning was P7,840. The committee gave an extra pack of the ingredients to earn more P7840 for the said schools. It was a great start to earn for this debilitating pandemic.

However, the 300 mushroom fruit bags per school will be given also that to be stored in dark room for 5-7 days. After that, it can be sold and time to plant continuously to have more earnings. The LC Presidents and AG Collado distributed covid kits composed of face mask, face shield, vitamins and digital thermometer and one plastic bag of grocery. The participants smiled gigantically to combat covid.
The foresaid event was aired at PTV 4 to highlight the significant and notable project of Zone 2. The MDC productions interviewed parents and sped students. They can be seen the happiness from their faced. They said “ Maraming Salamat sa Rotaray at malaking tulong po ito.”
