February 2022 Issue is now online

This month’s issue has a strong focus on peace.  It seems timely as we released this issue, the world plunges into a worrisome conflict in Eastern Europe.  Rotary is focusing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and part of its International Service mission is to foster better understanding among countries, races and cultures.  The key word in all of these undertakings is tolerance — the world is made up of different people, cultures and practices.  While we have our own ways of doing things, it should be understandable that other people will have their own ways of doing things.  Their beliefs, while it might actually conflict with what we believe in, shouldn’t be a reason for antagonism or conflict, instead, we should have the attitude of understanding and accepting that there are differences and that they also have a right for their own beliefs.  Rotary also uses this understanding to deliver services and assistance to communities around the world.  The brand of service paves the way for more tolerance and acceptance and potentially bridging divides that results in world peace.
