RC Bongao plants Narra trees on Bud Bongao Forest Park

A very productive day started early last August 13 with a tree planting activity at the foot of Bud Bongao (Mt. Bongao) Forest Park. This is a fitting first activity post-induction for RC Bongao Pres. Richard Muallil, who is known for being a champion for the environment.

In partnership with the Mindanao State University Tawi-Tawi, eleven Narra saplings were planted to represent Zone 11 where RC Bongao belongs. D3850 Governor John Michael and lady Krystel led the planting. Also present were IPDG Edwin To, PDG Oliver Ong, other district officers, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and MSU students.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the Office of Continuing Education and Extension Services (OCEANeS) of the Mindanao State University (MSU) Tawi-Tawi and LGU Bongao. The sites for planting were consulted with the management of the Bud Bongao Forest Park and the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) Tawi-Tawi.
