RC San Pedro South leads the pack in maximising online platforms to connect

RC San Pedro South (RCSPS) continuously raises awareness on the wonders of the Internet

On May 7, 2020, RCSPS was one of the first Rotary Clubs, if not the first, in the world to have done a live streaming of a Zoom meeting via Facebook and Youtube. The club is also active on Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram among many other social media platforms.

As humans continue to embrace the new normal, Rotary remains unstoppable in responding to the urgent needs of local communities through ongoing relief projects. Hence, one of the main goals of RCSPS during this pandemic is to help increase awareness of the possibilities that technology brings.

RCSPS aims to promote the digital unity of Rotarians across the world. After all, adapting to this kind of online platforms help Rotary to become more productive and resilient in the true spirit of “Service Above Self.”

RSSCPS’ webinar on transforming leaders in the time of a global pandemic

Always a step ahead, RCSPS also organized a webinar last May 18 on transforming leaders with Club Presidents Julian Adique and Guia de Leon and Champion President of Interact Club of Adelina 1 NHS as resource speakers. They talked about the response of the club to the impact of COVID-19 and laid out the many opportunities available to rebound after the crisis.

Since then, RCSPS has been holding virtual meetings to adapt with the changing times. President Guia de Leon instructed the members to wear blue, red, white or yellow in a plain background to signify Filipino pride.
