Rotary Club of Kalibo (D3850) acknowledged the importance of first aid and learned more about it from the Philippine Red Cross Aklan Chapter
Last September 1, Rotary Club of Kalibo (D3850) invited Philippine Red Cross Aklan Chapter Service Representative and Safety Services (CSRSS) Elisa Andrade Apolinario and RN/Safety Services Instructor Michael Andrew Ruiz to speak about the advantages of first aid know-how.
The invited experts demonstrated the topics, Heimlich Maneuver and CPR for infant, child and adult, to the Rotarians.
After the talk, Rotary Club of Kalibo President Leo Martinez with Past District Governor Raphy Tayco (MD) handed over a Resolution of Support to PRC Aklan Board Secretary Melrose Lunn who was also present. The said resolution stated that the club will continue to extend their support to Mobile Blood Donation (blood letting) activities and other undertakings of the chapter.
Rotary as a whole has significantly been visible in the legacy project of blood collection. Last Rotary term, District 3850 collected more than 5,315 units of blood or 138% from the 3,850 goal for RY 2019-2020 I under the helm of PDG Raphy Tayco.
