One of the key advocacies of the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West is the “SABAYANG PATAK KONTRA POLIO” project. The club is steadfast in making sure that all children get vaccinated and that NO child is left behind.
Amidst the heavy downpour, Rotary’s dedication to serving the people remained strong and unhampered. With the joint commitment of the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West, Cabanatuan City Health Office, and Brgy. Cabu officials, the team went to far-flung areas to deliver the polio vaccine to children who have the least access to medical facilities.
A tropical depression caused strong rainfall but it didn’t stop the team from reaching the outskirts of Barangay Cabu. It was able to serve around 30 families during the vaccination through the coordination and assistance of barangay and city health officials.
The project was conducted following strict health protocols and guidelines by the local government unit.
