Investing on personal hygiene keeps people away from possible sickness.
As part of the Solid North’s advocacy, the members of RC Zamboanga City North provided hygiene kits such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, towel and face mask to 203 Grade 1 students of its adopted school, Divisoria Elementary School.
Since engagement with children is not allowed because of COVID-19, hygiene kits were handed by the teachers to the parents during the distribution of modules last September 12 to October 5. In order to ensure sustainability, the Rotarians included a monitoring card which will be collected on November for assessment where a second round of distribution will take place. This will continue for the whole duration of the current school year.
This project is in partnership with the Rotary Club of Seongnam Sunil, D3600, South Korea and Pilipinas Shell. It is the Rotarians’ prayer that they could successfully instill a good hygiene habit for their beneficiaries. After all, health is wealth.
