Last January 6, a fire broke out at Cabato Road, Barangay Tetuan Zone 6, Zamboanga City that left 243 families homeless
The Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central, and Rotaract Club of Universidad de Zamboanga-CES immediately joined forces with the Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University, Rotary Club of Metro Zamboanga, Interact Club of Metro Zamboanga, and Rotaract Club of Metro Zamboanga to come to the aid of the devastated families.
They visited the community with relief goods to help the affected residents cope with the tragedy. The beneficiaries patiently lined up for the goods and thanked the Rotary for their thoughtful assistance.
The said project was also in partnership with various local civic organizations such as the SK Council of Sta. Maria, Sta. Maria Barangay Council, SK Council of Lumbangan, Tara Kabataan Organization, AIDA Cyndii and the Ateneo-Liberal Arts Organization.
