Around a hundred families residing at Kamias Drive in Curuan, Zamboanga City do not have access to clean and safe water.
The residents have resorted to using a “water well” as their source of water for daily needs. At first glance, anyone could already tell that the said well isn’t sanitary as it produces mud-looking water with a foul smell.
Hence, the Rotary Club of Zamboanga City Central partnered with the Jason D. Diego Foundation to respond to the call. The two bodies immediately had a new artesian well built for the said residents to use.
Now, they can finally have a clean and safe water source! This project is in line with Rotary’s area of focus on Water and Sanitation.
