Our Clubs

Not all heroes wear capes, some wear PPEs

Heeding the call for additional PPEs for our medical workers, the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West, under the Club’s “BAYANIHAN SA PANDEMYA” service project, pooled its resources and its vast professional and business networks to immediately augment the supply of PPE for our medical frontliners.

Thus, the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West on Sept. 4, 2021, was able to hand over a batch of medical-grade PPEs to the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center. These were received by Mr.. Francis Adao, a member of the hospital’s administrative staff together with the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West Life-Changing President, Pres. Clodualdo “Ding” Longalong, IPP Roy Mamaclay, and members of the Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West.

Another batch of PPEs was turned over on Sept. 6, 2021 to Cabanatuan City M. V. Gallego General Hospital. Hospital Chief Dr. Benedicto Joson Jr. and other hospital staff received the donation.

With these, a total of more than 600 Medical Grade Coverall, isolation gowns including head cups and shoe covers were given to our public hospitals.

Our battle with COVID-19 has placed our medical frontliners under immense pressure and stress. They experience the trauma of everyday deaths, put themselves at risk of contracting the virus, and have the anxiety of bringing the disease to their homes. It’s been eighteen months of dealing with the virus. All this time, they have been standing their ground – working countless hours to give us the necessary medical care.

But like any hero, they get tired. We extend our prayers and meager resources to the country’s medical workers and offer comfort to people affected by this pandemic.

With the simple gesture of giving these PPEs, we hope to raise the morale of our medical front liners. The Rotary Club of Cabanatuan West is one with you during these difficult times.

Padayon, our Modern heroes! Together, We end COVID-19.
