Rotary Club of Kalibo holds joint virtual Sardine Making Workshop

The Rotary Club of Kalibo, in partnership with the Person With Disability Association of Tangalan Sustainable Livelihood Project, conducted a virtual Sardine Making Workshop for 20 PWD recipients last September 17 and 22, 2021 in Tangalan, Aklan.

The group was divided into two batches of 10 participants each. Rotarian Spouse Nilda Marin of Nild’s Cocina was the resource speaker and trainor for the livelihood training. The PWD Association of Tangalan provided the cooking materials and equipment during the workshop. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) facilitated the requirements for production and marketing.

This training aims to help people with disability to develop their skills and to help them earn a living despite their condition. The RCK partnered with this project in response to Rotary International’s area of focus of Economic and Community Development.
