RC Metro Kalibo mounts Project Toilet

In partnership with ALS Interact Club of Metro Kalibo, Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo and 1st Aklan Mobile Force Company through PMAJ Donnel Regis – Force Commander and Platoon Leader PLt Richard de Vera, today we turned over 15 toilet bowls to 15 households, plus food essentials (3kl rice, 1k salt, canned food and noodles). 

The following are the recipients – household #66 – Richard Zonio with 4 children; household #67 – Ronil Zonio with 6 children; household #68 – Elina Fransico with 4 children; household #69 – Arman Timog with 4 children; household #70 – Mary Joy Inggo with 4 children; household #71 – Palmie Inggo with 2 children; household #72 – Nelda Gabi with 4 children; household #73 – Jolito Katimpo with 3 children, all 8 households are from Sitio Boyo, Rosal; household #74 – Stephen A De Luna with 3 children; household #75 – Rosana Esto with 5 children; household #76 – Ethel K Ripas with 4 children; household #77 – Jasel C Cocoy with 5 children; household #78 – Joseph O Asiong with 3 children; household #79 – Jeralyn K. Ripas with 3 children; and household #80 – Gredelio B Esto with 5 children, all 7 households are from Brgy. Logtuga. Both Rosal and Loctuga are located in the uphill town of Libacao, Aklan, respectively.
During a short program, Past President Megs Lunn who represents Life-Changing President Loida M. Enero shared what Rotary is, including End Polio campaign, its 7 Area of Focus (AOF) and the importance of Sanitation and Hygiene as one of the 7 AOF of Rotary International.  

Present during the formal turn over is ALS Interact Club President Mheal Rod Flores and member Riel Maglunob through the supervision of ALS Interact Adviser Roje Erenia, MPS Libacao and some members of 1st APMFC. 

Our media partner Kalibo Cable TV Network covered the event, too. 

On the other hand, one household beneficiary #81 is Ms. Valeriana R. Tornino, single and no children, living on her own in Nabaoy, Malay, Aklan. This was referred by Infant Jesus Academy Kalibo VOICE Club Moderator Ms. Mae Belle Remetio and the Aklan Trekkers, during their assessment through their “Rebuild a House Project.”

Project Toilet is our Flagship Project for RY 2021-2022, and is strongly supported by D3850 Governor Edwin G. To of Rotary Club of Zambonga City (D3850). Through this project Toilet, we also respond to Mother and Child Health, Disease Prevention and Treatment, WASH, Environment Care and Peace and Conflict Prevention and Resolutions.  

At present, we have distributed 81 toilet bowls, since July 2021.
