The Rotary Community Corps (RCC) started this month-long training (F2F) last April of this year. Director New Generations/Youth Service PN Edwin L. Autencio led the training under the roof of our partner institution, Numancia Integrated School. The same school who received the Rotary International Global Grant #1980249 in Dressmaking (RY 2018-2019).

This last final week they have learned:
1. Applying Finishing Touches
2. Product Presentation
3. Product Storing

The participants were excited while they showed off their finished products. After their tedious 40-day of training we look forward to their evaluation/exams leading to BASIC DRESSMAKING National Certification (NC) II with Technical Education and Skills Development (TESDA).

Congratulations RCC members who are participants to these training in response to the Economic and Community Development, one of the Area of Focus of  Rotary International.

We are grateful to Director Youth Services and President-Nominee Edwin L. Autencio, who passionately taught these participants. PN Edwin has a passion for fashion and studied Fashion Designing and Stylemaking at INTERNATIONAL FASHION SCHOOL, Philippines in association with GOLDEN HANDS FASHION AND ARTS SCHOOL, Manila gaining skill courses in Dressmaking, Tailoring, Beadworking and Embroidery. He is the famous designer behind BISTE –  his first fashion show launched in Kalibo showcasing his designs as a start off of his career. Three years later, he was featured as one of the top leading designers of Aklan at the Aninag Fashion Show at the Golden Year of Aklan Province.

Likewise, He is one of the lucky ROTARY INTERNATIONAL Global Grant VOCATIONAL TEAM TRAINING (Culinary Arts) recipients to Korea, sponsored by D3850 and our mother club Rotary Club of Kalibo. Currently he is an active Senior HS TechVoc Educator in Numancia Integrated School, with a resounding 10 TESDA national certificates in Levels 2 and 3 in different qualifications, including NC 4 in Commercial Cooking. Likewise, he is a TESDA Accredited Assessor for Dressmaking NC II, since 2013.
RCC members wish list is to have a “Business Start-Up” so they can start being productive and improve the welfare of their family. We look forward to some partnerships.

TOgether, we can Serve to Change Lives.
