Congratulations to our partner institution Numancia Integrated School (NIS) for the successful Brigada Eskwela 2022 Kick-off last August 4, 2022. This year’s theme is, “Brigada Eskwela: Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral”
We are proud of our new generations clubs – Rotaract Club of Metro Kalibo, Numancia Integrated School (NIS) Interact Club, Alternative Learning System (ALS) Interact Club, and Rotary Community Corps (RCC) of Metro Kalibo, for actively joining the said activities. They were under the supervision of their club advisers – President-Elect Edwin Autencio, sir Roje Erenia and Ms. Reina Blessie Cahilig, respectively.
The said activities are actually part of a nationwide initiative the creates awareness and mobilizes volunteers like, parents, alumni, non-government or civic-society groups, other students and teachers, too, to share their time, resources and skills in making the school community cleaner, better looking and ready for the upcoming face to face classes.
According to the Department of Education, “Brigada Eskwela will reinforce the Brigada Pagbasa initiative, which aims to strengthen learners’ reading proficiency, and the Home Learning Spaces project, which seeks to engage parents and partners to create impactful and functional learning spaces at home to foster academic ease.”
