WALK @14, a celebration of success for Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo

If a team believes in achieving more, it’s amazing what they can accomplish.

Respectively on July 23-24, 2022, the Rotary  Club of Metro Kalibo together and sister club Rotary Club of Forbes Park (D3830), celebrated WALK @14 at Kitty’s Kitchen and IJA Kalibo in Kalibo, Aklan.

With grateful hearts, we have successfully fitted the 25 adult amputees, through the hard work of the Association of Filipino Prosthetics and Orthotists (AFPO) volunteers – Rachelle, Alyssa Joyce, Patricia Ann, Barnard, Audrey and Samantha. They also gave 9 single tip canes, 4 quad canes, 2 walkers and 7 crutches and 2 forearm cructches, in support to the training of the recipients.

According to the founding president of WALK INC Atty. Ed Escano, “WALK is a highly life changing signature project. Rotarians make it happen.”

Pres. Manjit Reandi of the RC Forbes Park agreed saying, “This is my first time to immerse in this mission and it was truly life-changing.”
