On July 26, 2022, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) proudly received the Plaque of Recognition from Police Regional Office 6. The award was given to the club for its unwavering support extended that resulted in the successful conduct of various PNP’s programs, projects and activities particularly in the province of Aklan, during RY 2021-2022.
The award was presented to Director Public Image PP Megs Lunn, on behalf of Life-Changing Past President Loida M. Enero, by PBGEN Flynn E Dongbo, Regional Director, PRO6, assisted by other police officers and guests present on stage.
The award for Aklan organization category was nominated by our partners in service, the 2nd Aklan Provincial Mobile Force (APMFC). PP Megs was accompanied by Rotaractor Mark Joseph Tungala.
PBGEN Dongbo said, “Our mandate is to prevent and resolve crime. The public is the police and police is the public, we create mutual trust through their participations, and we both work for the safety of the community. Comunity empowerment is a shared responsibility. You have contributed time, resources and expertise, too. We honor our partners who help maintain public safety and peace in Western Visayas. For this, we convey our gratitude.”
Araw ng Parangal at Pasasalamat awards day was held during the celebration of the 27th Police Community Relations Month, with the Theme “Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad Tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos at Maunlad na Pamayanan”, at Camp General Martin Teofilo B Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.
