Rotary is rallying for peace.
Rotary D3850 Peace & Conflict Prevention and Resolutions Chair & Rotary-IEP Peace Ambassador Ms. Megs Lunn, was invited to speak about “Imagine Peace” through the 8 Pillars of Positive Peace, and its value and principle.
Present were the more or less 45 members of Cawayan Vendors Bayanihan Association (CAVBA). Simultaneously, the club donated toilet bowls to six (6) households in response to WASH.
The event is a joint initiative of Aklan Provincial Police Office, Police Advisory Group, and 33 CMO 3IF Philippine Army, in collaboration with Aklan Baghay, MPS New Washington, MAG and CAVBA. It is also in celebration of National Women’s Month this March.
Facilitating the activity was led by Aklan PPO PSMU Chief PMAJ Valen Delos Santos and 2nd LT Ryan T Bastan (INF) PA ACO, 33CMOBn, 3ID, Philippine Army.
Present were MPS New Washington staff and their Municipal Advisory Group (MAG), Cawayan Barangay Council member Angelita Fritzie, and CAVBA President Tommy Francisco and BOD Geralyn T Cerezo.
The event was held at Barangay Cawayan Covered Court, New Washington, Aklan on March 11, 2023.
