Celebrating 118 years of Rotary through Project Toilet

On February 23, in celebration of the 118 Years Founding Anniversary of Rotary International, Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo finally turned over the Rotary Project Toilet to Albasan Elementary School.

Cutting the Ribbons earlier on were RCMK Pres. Romeo Reyes, Jr. and AES Head Teacher II Ms. Gie Magdaluyo.

Also present were some members of RCC of Metro Kalibo, other stakeholders like the PTA and Brgy. Albasan officials, Supreme Student Government (SSG), teaching staff and pupils.

The said toilet has male and female doors, plus it is PWD friendly. It also comes with a handwashing station.

Thank you to fellow Rotarians, Love and Hope Canada foundation, D3850 IPDG Edwin To, and Ms. Clouds Lunn for making this project possible.

Rotary responds to WiNS – WASH in School. Aside from WASH, Rotary also makes access to Mother & Child Health, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Environment and Peace. Clean water, proper sanitation & hygiene also helps prevent polio.

Happy birthday, Rotary!
