Our Clubs

Celebrate World Oral Health Day

On March 20, the Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo celebrates World Oral Health Day.

We collaborated with our humanitarian partners Philippine Dental Association (PDA) Aklan chapter,  together with Bread & Butter, Kiwanis Ati-Atihan Kalibo Club, and media partners Kalibo Cable TV Network and Aklan Press Club, Inc.

Mr. Reginald M. Andal, Executive Director of Manila Water Foundation said, “we enable change through sustainable water access, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) through the construction (donation) of school hand washing facilities,  while educating the marginalized communities of the Philippines.”

Also present during the event were PDA National President Dr. Cheryl Y. Del Rosario, Lixil Project Manager Mr. Herbert Lapuente, DepEd Public School District Supervisor Mr. Jessie S. Flores, Boracay Water Manager Mr. Adrian Bryan M. Magallanes, Philusa Corp. Branch Manager Ms. Jacquiline Pe, LGU Malay MHO Dr. Athena Magdamit, LGU Malay Councilors, Nabaoy Barangay Council, PDA Western Visayas chapters (Bacolod, Iloilo, Capiz and Antique), Philippine Association of Functional Jaw Orthopedics, TMJ, Inc., and media partners Aklan Press Club, and covered by Kalibo Cable TV Network, Inc.

The club was represented by PP Megs Lunn and PP Nora Helber.

One of the seven areas of focus of Rotary is also WASH. Imagine clean and potable water. Imagine a cleaner and healthier environment.
