On June 9, 2023, Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850) partners in service 2nd Aklan PMFC under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Rogelio L. Tomagtang, Jr., Force Commander, conducted the installation of 4G Signal Booster Device at Nabaoy Elementary School in Malay, Aklan.
School Principal Mr. Bryan Ray Solano was very happy to receive the said device and finally for them to get connected faster with the World Wide Web.
Special thanks to Rotaractors MJ Tungala and Justin Dela Cruz, who were instrumental in the said project. They lead the way to installing a few more of the units in the far-flung barangays in Western Aklan.
Project E-CONNECT was a result from the Peace Ambassador study (Rotary-IEP) of PP Megs Lunn during the pandemic. It was also through the lead initiative of the 2nd Aklan PMFC in partnership with the Provincial Mobile Force Company Advisory Group, and in collaboration with Rotary Club of Metro Kalibo (D3850), Rotary Club of Pasay Southeast (D3810) and Rotary Club of Forbes Park & Makati Business District (D3830).
